Found on old piece of fanfic (?) I did back in 2012 for my Writer's Craft class I did for my summative works, this may have grammar/spelling errors. I decided to write a piece to take characters from one novel and place them into another.

Toge turns, expecting to find the same person from his first year, only to freeze again, this time for a completely different reason. His heart lunges in his chest, and his palms start to sweat within seconds of his eyes landing on Yuuta. He almost trips in his haste.
There is no way. That’s not Yuuta, absolutely not.
or, yuuta comes back from abroad looking different, and toge doesn't know how to handle it, so of course, his friends take the opportunity to tease him.

While putting mustard on a sandwich, Yuuta accidentally makes an occult symbol and summons a demon.
His voice catches in his throat, producing a startled squeak. "Oh, um... Hello?"
Yuuta is no stranger to cursed beings, but he has never encountered one like this. Most curses think they are a predator because they want to hunt him, but this being feels like a predator because of the way it is observing him.
