Originally written for Kinktober 2025 on Tumblr.
It begins with praise.
With the way his voice drops when he calls you good. With the quiet pride in his eyes when you come undone for him. Ted learns quickly that he loves how you tremble beneath his approval, how a soft "I'm proud of you" can make you fall apart faster than his hands ever could.
Overstimulation becomes its own language between you. One more for me, whispered against your skin. Public teasing that simmers until it breaks. Slow, unhurried kisses and tangled mornings. Dirty talk, playful spankings, riding him while he watches like you're something sacred. Quick stolen moments. Marking and facesitting. Mutual pleasure is shared openly. Nights when he worships you, and nights when you tie his hands and make him surrender.
Some prompts blend. Some stretches last longer than one night. But through every escalation runs the same thread: devotion.

We can’t keep doing this, he likes to say, but he never ends it. He never meant for it to happen, you’re sure. You didn’t mean for it either. You’re falling asleep to the sound of him scribbling Needs further explanation on an essay he’s grading, your thighs still tickle from his beard, and you really don’t know how this keeps happening, it just does.
He must be lonely, you figure. Or sad. Or going through some sort of mid-life crisis. You’ve seen the pictures of his sons in his office: the younger one, the lanky redhead, grinning in a boarding school uniform, and the older one, a carbon copy of his father, off on summer holiday adventures in his university jumper. Barely younger than you.
And there’s the wedding ring he doesn’t take off. You tried reading the obituary in the library when you were supposed to be doing research and only got as far as “...passed thirteen months after a diagnosis of glioblastoma…” before you felt sick.
You’ve felt that ring inside you while you’ve fallen apart on his fingers. You’ve licked the warm metal clean after.

Baelor looked at her for a long moment, as if he were trying to decide what to do with her. He was a prince, yes, but he was also a boy. His posture was practiced. His expression was careful. There was a guardedness in him that even a child could sense.
“You may rise,” he said, and his voice was steady.
Jena stood. “Your eyes are different.”There was a sharp intake of breath behind her. An adult’s panic.
Baelor blinked once. Then, to Jena’s surprise, his mouth twitched, as if he were holding back a smile.
