In fact, after the age of fourteen, he has no memories of his Shizun at all.... Luo Binghe is what he is: a lonely, single Emperor who, it seems, only succeeds in sending women running. Even worse, when he does get lucky, he's disgusted with himself and doesn't even go all the way. How can he possibly find a concubine like that?!

“Lord High Protector,” Tang clarifies, voice coming from one centrally displayed speaker mounted on the front wall, even though, obviously, she’s all around them. “And no, the clarification isn’t that important considering we’re lightyears away from Cybertron, but my friend in Theological Studies would get very persnickety about using the full title each time.”
Penguin sniggers. He’s seated upside-down upon the shorter sofa, legs hanging over the backrest, and can just barely stretch far enough to pat Jean Bart’s shoulder where the bigger man is stretched out across the padded floor. “When Tang tells you that someone else is ‘persnickety’, that’s really saying something.”

It was a big-bellied brute of a vehicle, with a blue stripe on the side and the words “InGen Construction”. That rang a bell. Kureha remembered something about a company putting together some kind of fancy new resort on one of the offshore islands, spectacular and top rate and FAR more expensive than any of the locals hired to help build it would ever be able to afford. A place filled with swimming pools and tennis courts, where guests could play and drink their daiquiris, without bothering to experience any contact with the real life of the country.
Even as she scowled automatically at the vision of it, Kureha paid close attention to the helicopter settling on the wet sand of the beach nearby, pilot visible through the windshield as he exhaled with relief at the successful landing. Right away, uniformed men jumped out, and flung open the big side door. Kureha heard frantic shouts, in both English and Spanish, and clicked her fingers to get Chopper’s attention.
They were calling for a doctor.
