Summary
Hazel's definition of reality had been thoroughly shifted by the time the eldest Feanorians, Glorfindel the Balrog Slayer, and the Fellowship of the Ring departed from her family's humble cabin. Now, she had books to read and college classes to return to, glad for the fun but perfectly happy in her normal life. But, when an old friend comes a-calling and terrible events send Hazel's world crashing down around her, adventure may come whether she wants it or not.
Soon she must push aside her own fear, grief, and self-doubt for the sake of those she has come to care for.

Summary
Arathorn perishes two years earlier. Estel is barely three months old, when Gilraen, hand forced by circumstance, flees to Imladris.
But the stress of the road makes her lose her ability to breastfeed, and with no wet nurses in Rivendell, it seems like the future of the line of Isildur, and of her baby son, is quite bleak.
Insert one Glorfindel of the Golden Flower, a rather interesting biological difference between Quendi and Edain, and the burning parenting urges of elves who didn't have a child to fuss over for a few centuries.
Little Estel will be fine. And Gilraen...Well. Gilraen will be fine too. More than, even.

Summary
Patterns and echoes of what she knew was supposed to happen - she could see them everywhere. She was what was wrong in the picture, the thing that shifted everything and caused devastating changes, and yet even then the weave of history showed a similar image to what she had expected.
Being reincarnated into the body of an Elf, growing up in Rivendell, it had always sounded like a dream to her. It was both a dream and a nightmare. Love and grief were inseperable for her, even when she was surrounded by people who were supposed to be immortal. The future loomed menacingly ahead, promising war, love, and even more loss.
