Some people might think getting isekaied into your hyperfixation would be amazing.
No. It's fucking hell.
Haunted by Paranoia, because why wouldn’t she be?
She knows. She knows their pasts, presents , futures traumas.
In a school is full of people with pasts they'd prefer unshared. some genius's and prodigies, others rich and influential, some even both.
What extents would they go to if they discovered someone who knew almost everything about them, things they never told them? Or to anyone? , experiences that only happened minutes prior or before they even arrived ,and knowing what would occur months ahead in time to them? Know if or How their plans succeed or fail?
Not only that, but they know everything about your enemies too, their pasts, weaknesses, traumas, futures..
Would they want to destroy that person?
Use them for what they know?
Put them in a spot where that they can't tell anyone about your past deeds?
The only thing to combat this? Keep it quiet, lie, hide, and try to fly under the radar.
Its much safer behind a screen,

Summary
Xiao is a member of Liyue's Archon's Investigative Agency's Adeptus Core. His work, though seen as gruesome by most, including the other agents of the A.I.A, is far tamer than what he used to do, and he much prefers it that way. He hardly interacts with members of other sectors in the agency, but when Fatui action begins rising and members of the Archon family, the very foundation of the A.I.A, find themselves troubled, Xiao ends up forced into a partnership with someone he never thought he'd ever see again.
A.K.A the XiaoVen spinoff fic for Golden Eyed Trickster, where this entire alternate universe began!
Can be read as a standalone, but it's highly reccomended that you check out Golden Eyed Trickster, a Chongyun/Xingqiu focussed fic, for more background information.

Zhenyu seemed to pout slightly, but in the paltry lighting, it was a little difficult to tell if it was actually a pout or a frown. “That’s one of the stupidest reasons I’ve ever heard.” '
