"Angel is finally home after the longest fucking day since the one before and he's collapsed across from Husk, admiring the somewhat sticky counter and resting his eyes while Husk puts things away and pretends not to look at Angel. It's a fun game, one Husk loses everytime Angel catches him staring, making him flush. Angel knows he has to get up, that he can't just fall asleep here, but he keeps putting it off, telling himself one more minute and drifting off, face pressed against cool bar top.
Husk is purring. When it's the wee hours of the morning and all Husk wants is to sleep, his quiet entreaties to Angel have an undercurrent of a rumbling purr.
