He hears him laugh, laugh through the words he snarls, laugh as Dream’s knuckles turn white from holding his axe like he's holding on for dear life. He laughs as words die on Dream’s lips, as his ears ring, as his throat burns, as the sound of nature surrounding him ceases to exist.
Quackity laughs through the sound of shattering glass, as an unknown liquid burns Dream's skin. He laughs at the way Dream flinches; at the way his hands shake. He laughs at the gasp Dream lets out once everything goes dark.

Summary
Dream has always been able to tell other people’s emotions. How else had he controlled them so precisely, manipulated them to do his bidding? Maybe there was a little trick, a little quirk about him that not even his closest friends knew about.
This particular admin was an empath. Though he couldn’t tell who it was from, if they were in range, it was pretty easy to determine who felt what. In prison, all the emotions he’s felt from Quackity has been nothing short of rage, frustration, and amusement. Those familiar emotions have now become a source of terror, though he has no way to make them go away.
It has now been almost a month of visiting Dream, and Quackity has grown impatient with his disobedience. The man revived Wilbur under his and Sam’s watch, with a book that he already had prepared. Maybe now it’ll take something a little more serious for Dream to finally hand over that book.
