The sight of him wakes something sleeping deep inside her, flattened down by grief and fear and bone-deep fatigue. The sight of his thick-muscled, war-worn body wakes need. Need leaps as though roused with a shock of cold water, and the feeling is so long-buried that she almost doesn’t recognize it. When she names the feeling, she winces—it isn’t right at all, no, but all she can think in that moment is that’s not the body of a boy.

Kirishima Eijirou is a kind boy, a strong boy. But even the strong need comfort. Mitsuki feels for him—maybe a little too much.
