What we are left with is not quite what was before, or even what could have been, but can it have worth all on its own?
Mirabel discovers that Tío Bruno is having "surprise" visions again, and in her opinion, he is not handling it well. When Mamá tells her that Bruno is different now than he was before the walls, she can't quite let the idea go. She decides to try her hardest to fix what has been broken--for Bruno, and maybe a little for herself, too.
