Hautboy Island is in the westernmost part of Skagit County, Washington and is about halfway between the mainland and offshore San Juan County. And according to Maria is the most accurate name for a place she has ever heard. It has one town, Eagle Harbor, that has a population of just over 10,000.
Maria grew up in Eagle Harbor and moved away just before starting high school. She’s all grown up now and has returned, following her parents after they moved back. She swears that the male population wasn’t this attractive when she left. It is as if everywhere she turns there are stupidly, ridiculously attractive men.
Jeremy is a very successful contractor, both on and off Hautboy Island. He’s worked with his fair share of clients and is not shy in saying he’s only been attracted to one: Maria. The only problem he faces in pursuing her is that it seems every other available bachelor on the island is after her too. Now if she only would take his efforts seriously.

It was basic physics, really. Every youngling at the Academy knew that space and time were intimately related. The space-time continuum was the fabric of the Universe, and if he was attuned to it, his mind could go anywhere. If he could not face the past for his shame and failure, and feared for his future, why wouldn't he reach out in the other dimensions available to him?
In which Cal may or may not have accidentally (definitely not on purpose) made a connection with someone else's mind when he was upset after Order 66. Oops. Time to go find her, and maybe get the Haxion Brood off his back?

It's not always convenient to be a relationship, so sometimes Jane and Thor have to make sacrifices.
