Morisuke doesn’t usually make exceptions.
He’s a very straightforward person—he loves being a libero and showing others the beauty of defense, he can barely stand incompetent and impudent people, and he’s perfectly comfortable with his undisturbed, very normal senior year. He lives by his rules and assumptions so as not to make his last year of high school any harder or more complicated than it already is.
Haiba Lev, in his nearly two meters of pure stupidity, might just be the biggest exception Morisuke’s ever had to make.

Kenma didn’t even bother looking up from his video game. “Truth.”
Oikawa rolled his eyes. “Boring. Fine, fine, let me think…” He tapped a finger to his chin in faux seriousness. “Anyone you like? And I mean, like, like-like.”
Iwaizumi just barely suppressed a groan. “Oikawa, seriously? That’s the best you could think of?”
“I’m sorry!” Oikawa screeched. “I only have ideas for dares!”
“That’s what sleep deprivation gets you,” Iwaizumi muttered, and received a shove from Oikawa in response.

“Sure…?” he hears Bokuto agree hesitantly. “Listen, dude, I think you might be overthinking this, though.”
Kuroo frowns at his phone. Bokuto thought he was overthinking?
“I mean, what did Kenma even do?”
“He’s spending all his time with—with—with a bunch of faceless nobodies!”
“Huh?”
“I come home after a long day of work,” Kuroo complains, “with a bag of takeouts so that we can both have dinner together, and he brushes me off! In favor of, what—a bunch of video gamers! Are they giving him food? Making sure he eats well? I don’t see them doing that, and you know, if this was a one time thing, maybe I wouldn’t really care, but it’s been weeks. Weeks. He never talks to me anymore because he’s just always talking with those internet guys! He doesn’t even know who they are—what if they’re, like, freaks? The internet’s full of freaks, you know that, right? Oh, god, what if he’s being catfished? Do you think he’s being catfished? Shit, maybe I should break the door down—”
