Summary
Frank and Mel had been together officially for nearly half a year, staying over at each other's apartments nearly every day. It felt routine and right for them, their lives intertwining so deeply perfect. It was on one such summer day where they were both off, exactly a year after their fateful reunion, that Frank and Robby were having this argument.
So, Mel did the sensible thing any girl would do to their boyfriend while he was busy–she would distract him.
OR Five times Kingdon distract each other.

Summary
Consumed — Frank Langdon is sober, divorced, and trying very hard to keep his life under control. Then there’s Mel King: brilliant, strange, kind, and suddenly at the center of every thought he has. What starts as friendship built on movie nights, shared shifts, and quiet devotion turns into an all-consuming obsession Frank can’t outrun.
He’s convinced she could never want him back and too afraid to risk losing her to ask. But one hazy night changes everything, leaving Frank with exactly what he’s always wanted… and the fear he’s ruined it forever.

Summary
“It’s two in the morning and you idiots are walking around like the four stooges.” Frank Langdon narrows his eyes, scanning the group from inside his car, leaning over the passenger side with a sort of disappointment etched onto his features.
“Taco Bell?” Mel replied, the first one to shake herself from shock and curate words.
“It’s like two blocks away.” Victoria nodded, holding onto Dennis like a lifeline as she swayed.
A short, exasperated breath left Frank, his hand coming up to rub the corners of his eyes before he sighs out: “Yeah, the other direction, dimwits.”
Or:
Frank Langdon, in attempt to take a peaceful, late night drive to clear his mind, happens upon the drunk, unruly and Taco Bell bound PittlingsBookmarked by BreezeyGaG

Summary
Post s2ep14 but prior to the season finale. I had to fulfill all of the fan theories that Dr. Langdon isn't telling anyone about some other big changes in his life (aka divorce) (aka I'm delulu but what else is fanfic for)
~~~~~~
“Are you heading out soon? Need to watch the fireworks with the kids, right?” Mel’s voice came out unusual, hoarse.“No. Abby’s got them toni…” he coughed nervously and looked away, rubbing his hands together. “I mean, no. I just… I don’t have. Plans. To do that.”
He took a deep breath, returning his gaze back to Mel, but there was something different in his eyes. Sadder, more haunted. It was similar to the look he’d given her in the breakroom only a few hours ago, when she apparently told him all the right things. He absent-mindedly twisted the gold wedding band on his finger. We don’t always get everything right the first time. He’d looked at her when she said that. Langdon had looked at her, really looked at her, and it told her… something. She didn’t know – she couldn’t remember. What was he trying to tell her?
