My name is Jake.
Back then I wasn’t anybody special. I worked at a tech company, one of the thousands in the country, high up enough to manage people but not corner-office level. I was happily married to a woman way cooler than I was, and we were thinking about having a kid soon. Trying to come up with the down payment on a condo. You know. Normal thirty-year-old problems.
Until a certain Tuesday, when we walked through a construction site and everything changed.

Summary
The war was won, the Blade Ship was rammed, the Animorphs died... and then they woke up.
What would happen if the Animorphs were given a second chance to defeat the Yeerks? How would things change if they knew what to expect, what to avoid, and who to trust? The war could be won in almost an instant-- but perhaps, second chances aren't always all their cracked up to be. Dealing with new threats, cosmic powers-- and their own sanity-- will prove more difficult then they could possibly imagine.
This is an ongoing story, told (primarily) from the perspective of Tobias, beginning where "Animorphs" ended.

Summary
In a twist of fate, Rachel survives the Yeerk War. But three years later she has broken up with Tobias, has no direction, and is still struggling to adjust in a post-war world where maybe she was never supposed to belong in the first place. Terrorists, paparazzi, college - Rachel's life was never meant to be easy.
(I started this fic on Another Site back in 2014 but I'm editing and re-uploading here. If you want to read further ahead you can look it up there, but this will be the definitive version. Plot, characters, and everything else will be the same.)
