“I was just about to look for you.” Gyomei explained, his scrunched up face relaxing at the sound of her approaching footsteps stopping in front of him. Upon facing her, she noticed that his kasugai crow, Zekka, was perched on his shoulder.
“I’m home now.” She smiled beneath the uniform’s mask. How kind of him to worry. Zekka leaned down from his shoulder as she reached up to pat the top of his head, earning a loud deep caw from the crow. She and Gyomei laughed lightly at Zekka’s excitement.
“Welcome back.” Gyomei greeted, his eyes crinkling with his soft smile.
