The words were written in neat cursive by his soulmate; they were the very last words his soulmate would ever say to him, or his soulmate's last words before he died. As he saw with Lorenzo years later, if your soulmate died, you lost a part of yourself as well. Also, the words would become visible to everyone in red, a blood shade of red, a mark permanent for everyone to see.
