Astarion wracked his brain. Surely he would have remembered such a delectable creature at school functions. He imagined the tiny classroom and then it hit him.
The man often lingered near the back, a wallflower amongst the thorns that was the PTO. How hadn't Astarion given him attention before.
Oh, yes. That's right. He was focused on preventing sticky hands from touching him.

"What a pity." Astarion waved a hand, dismissing the comment. "Come to me anytime if you're looking to be buttered up, um…"
"Gale. My name's Gale." Gale offered a shy hand, waiting to shake Astarion's and after, pointing at his daughter. "And that's Penelope."
"Astarion, and my…my daughter. Her name is Iris."

Summary
