Summary
As a mountain climbing guide on Mount Everest, George’s main goal each year is to get his clients to the top and back down without any accidents. The mountains are his home, and they’re where he’s happiest.
Unfortunately, this year his former best friend, Dream, will be on the mountain too. George hasn’t spoken to Dream since one terrible day nearly three years prior.
How will he handle being in such close proximity to someone he once trusted with his life? Will it ruin his climbing season? Or will something new develop?

He’s never known hybrids personally, but he’s seen them before. He’s spoken to them in passing. His little sister’s best friend is a dog hybrid. She’d sent him a singing card on his birthday a few years back even though they’d only interacted a handful of times. He’d been in school with some, when he’d been in school. In his, albeit, limited experience, he’s never known them to go to such lengths to hide it. Though, now he wonders how many do and what the reason for it is.
But the point is this; George is a hybrid. George is a hybrid who’s gone out of his way to keep it a secret.
Or, George is a cat hybrid. Dream finds out.

“You are made to protect Prince George,” his mother says in their quarters on the edge of the left wing, “and one day, you will become his personal knight.”
Dream quirks a brow, approaching the chair next to her. “Personal knight?”
Her fingers wind between threads, needle in hand. “Yes,” his mother pokes the end of a piece of fabric, eyes slightly closed, “a knight, to stay by Prince George’s side at all times, to protect him from all evils.”
Dream stares at her blankly. That doesn’t sound right. “I don’t want to do just that.”

In a world where soulmates have marks appear on their skin at nineteen, Dream and George don't have enough time.

Summary
George has heterochromia.
His mom has it too, but hers is only sectoral heterochromia, meaning a part of her left eye is brown while the rest is blue. George has complete heterochromia. His right eye is green, while his left is blue. As a kid, he’d get the most excited reactions from adults.
“Look at his eyes! They’re so cute!”
“Wow, they’re different colors!”
“How stunning!”
He’d like to think that his eyes were just a part of who he was, that they were just one of the things that made him special. But in reality, he knew it was only his heterochromia and his odd accent that made him special. After explaining his eyes and why he had a British accent in Florida, he had nothing interesting to bring up about himself. He had average grades, an average height, and an average personality.
But in the end, it was his eyes that saved his life.
or, George begrudgingly returns to his childhood summer camp as a counselor, only to learn that something is lurking in the woods. Something that has an unusual infatuation with George.
