Summary
Death was not a new concept for Astarion. When you’re a vampire spawn and you’ve just helped stopped the world from being dominated by a Netherbrain you have both seen and experienced your fair share of death. Death didn’t seem quite so bad a fate when you have a mysterious, undead being freeloading at your camp. Who, for just a small fee, would resurrect any companion you asked for, no questions asked.

Astarion’s lips twitch into an instinctive smile, both curious and confused. “You needn’t use me as a mirror, love, surely you can see that handsome face of yours all on your own.”
Yanis’s mouth parts for a moment, suddenly feeling ridiculous for having even asked, but Astarion swiftly continues before he can get a word out.
“But really, darling, if you wanted me to return the favor, you only needed to ask. I’m always happy to oblige.”
(Or, Astarion is surprisingly good at giving comfort.)

Summary
He is pushed down onto Tav’s bedroll with said man climbing up onto his lap and straddling him expertly not a second later. For once, it places him higher up than Astarion, with his hair falling into his eyes as he firmly holds eye contact.
“You may think me foolish for being so…” Tav trails off for a moment and tilts his head, presumably searching for a correct word. There are a great many reasons for Astarion to question his companion’s intelligence, to be frank. “Certain and— Positive about all this.”
That’s one way to put it. Astarion gives him an overly sweet smile and, on an impulse, reaches up to tug one of the dark blue strands of hair behind the pointed ear. He scoffs, “Something along the lines of ‘deluded’ has crossed my mind if I’m being honest.”
“A novelty,” Tav remarks with a huff.
Or; how it would've gone if meeting the Gur hunter rattled Astarion a little bit more than in canon, and Tav was even bolder about what he wants
