And finally, that he would share that adventure with one Lilly Evans, seeing as he was utterly sure that they were to be married.
James, to his credit, was quite right on many of these accounts, though only beings that had devoted their lives to divination could tell him how he was actually startlingly correct, with just one slight difference.

Lila was anything but untrained and was very good at her research. Sure, this hotel was a great spot with nearly perfect ratings on any review app you could think to check, but she knew that this place was packed with more secrets than most places in the city.
And here she was, everything she cared about in a bag on her back with all the money to her name shoved into countless hidden pockets in both her clothes and boots, with a choice. She could walk through those doors and sign away her freedom, or she could walk away and be dead by the end of the week.
Lila quite liked being alive, despite it all. It seemed a pretty easy decision.
