    Summary

In the midst of a mental breakdown, I deleted all my fics and nearly abandoned fanfic writing entirely. I was shaken and unsteady and my confidence in my writing - my skills, my ideas, my ability to even put words on a page - was completely gone. With the help of some friends and my parents' unwavering support, I rebuilt my confidence and decided to reupload all my fics, especially as I know there was, at minimum, one person who loved each one.

    These are those fics.

    Summary

To his dismay, Ghost quickly finds out that touch comes part and parcel with the plucky sergeant. The man is practically a golden retriever, bursting with unbridled enthusiasm, never shutting up, never sitting still, and never not touching Ghost. A shoulder-bump here. A press of the knee there. Leaning into him on a noisy transport so he can shout something to Ghost, like Ghost actually gives a shit what he has to say.
At first, he doesn’t trust it. Okay, let’s be honest—he still doesn’t trust it. Not completely. But Ghost soon realizes that this is just the way Sergeant John ‘Soap’ MacTavish is. Optimistic. Encouraging. Happy-go-lucky.
That’s not going to last long.
So, Ghost is willing to let it go. Ghost is a lot of things, but he’s not one to kick a puppy.

-or-Simon likes Soap's touch, but of course, Ghost isn't going to let Simon have that.

    Summary

With the flu finally out of the way, Ghost and Soap could finally travel to Glasgow for their shared leave. Only, it's not that easy, as everything goes upside down before they have even managed to leave the base. They end up leaving, but to different directions; one packed for a mission and one packed for a leave.

One day, sooner or later, Ghost will finally accept that he's just a dog of the military and nothing else. He'll never be anything else.

And Soap will learn that too.

    Summary

There’s a teddy in Soap’s bed; a beaten-up, old brown bear. Well-loved, if the state of the fur is any indication. Ghost lets out a choked laugh, mostly at his own expense. He wishes he was there, suddenly, wishes he was by Johnny’s side as he walked through the doorway and realised that his childhood room was waiting for him like a time capsule. Wishes he got to see the embarrassed scrunch of his face, the way the tips of his ears would flush red.

Soap has a whole second life, outside of the SAS. He’s got a mother, and a poorly-decorated bedroom, and a bear. All Ghost has is a flat that will be the same it is today as it will be the day he dies, like he was never even here at all.

    Summary

Simon falling apart was exactly what Soap had come for— what he had all but begged Price to sign off on his abrupt leave for— but he suddenly felt so ill-prepared. In the short time he’d been here, he thought he was making a difference by taking care of Ghost in any way he’d let him. But it was one thing to clean up his flat, or restock his fridge, or be there to keep him company.

How was he meant to help him through a flashback? Something so fragile, so important?

“C’mon,” Soap said softly. “I’m here, I’ve got you.”

    or

After a close brush with death during a mission gone wrong, Ghost is sent on leave— alone— to recover from his injuries. Feeling useless without the ability to be a soldier, he spends the first week in a complete fog, barely noticing the days as they go by.

Until Soap shows up at his door.

Can Soap convince Ghost that recovery is best spent with company?
