"I… what is this about?" he asks, and it's as if he sees her for the first time.
She doesn't know. She really, honestly has no idea what this is about, but Johanna shouldn't even be seeing clients, except maybe to get sponsor money, and her tributes were out of the Games, so why was she at the hotel tonight? And she was miserable, a special, deep kind of miserable, and she had asked Finnick for help, and he had let her down. The whole thing was confusing and strange, and Enobaria should really let it roll off of her, like she did every other horror of the Capitol, but this time she couldn't. "I think you're being a shitty friend," she says, because it's the easiest way to sum it up.
The one where Enobaria gets involved in Finnick and Jo's bullshit to protect Annie in the 71st Games and she gets a lover, at least temporarily.

He doesn't recognize her at first, because she doesn't look like how she did before the war, or just after. But he knows her by that expression, accusatory and suspicious, as if he was the one showing up on her doorstep in the middle of the night. It's impressive, really, for someone so small to be so contemptuous all the time.
"Jo?" He sounds groggy from sleep, and he wonders, just for a moment, if he's still dreaming.
"Can I come in?"
Just a short fic I wrote about Johanna and Haymitch figuring their shit out after the war, and Peeta and Katniss also trying to manage their developing relationship and their grief now that they are back in District 12.
