It starts with a meeting at the District Public Prosecutors Office, where Higuruma is sure that Nanami Kento, the new Judicial Research Officer he's introduced to, isn't quite who he claims to be.
And he's very quickly proved right.
Stumbling upon Nanami and a colleague performing an 'exorcism' one evening after a trip to an izakaya, it's obvious he really isn't a JRO at all, and Higuruma is about to have his eyes opened to a mystery world he knew nothing about. At least he might begin to get some answers as to what those shadows he's recently begun to see out of the corner of his eyes are, and why he can suddenly see them.
