    Kohaku wonders if this is what a normal family is like; quiet, casual moments like this where everyone is smiling and relaxed. He's had similar moments, but there was always the underlying feeling of dread and anxiety beneath it. Here, it's pure warmth. He melts into it, giving in to the want to be taken care of as Niki graciously offers to the opportunity. Even HiMERU takes part in the doting behavior, hiding kind smiles behind his mug and making snide comments unbefitting of his persona.

    Everyone's on their second cup when Kohaku hears feet dragging against the floor. Looking up, he catches a glimpse of red hair before a gigantic being wrapped in a thick, fluffy blanket wraps both its arms and the blanket around Niki's waist. Rinne presses himself against Niki's back, resting his head on Niki's shoulder as the boy playfully rolls his eyes and twists his head so he can kiss Rinne's forehead.

    (Or, Kohaku and HiMERU relearn what love feels like while hiding from the rain)
