In the beginning, Juliet reaches out a couple of times a week. And then the communication slows down, almost imperceptibly but still, he notices. There's less pictures, longer response times, no back and forth chats.
Suddenly, it's been two months since she's been gone and she hasn't sent anything in almost 10 days. He thinks about reaching out and his fingers hover over the phone before he stops.
