He almost looked like he was holding back tears as he spoke, his voice soft and filled with care “No…no you’re not. You’re not gonna hurt me. I promise.” "You don't understand, I bring death, and pain to everyone around me” you snap back, walking off. Hunter looked a bit reluctant for a moment, but he didn’t try to follow you as you began walking away. He called after you though, his voice still soft and sorrowful: “Just... Just don’t shut us out, okay? We all care about you. I…I care about you.”
You stop in place, as his words fill your head "I care about you.." Hunter paused as well, watching you as you stopped. He was still standing where he was, but he was silent, letting you decide whether you wanted to turn around or not. You turn your head "Don't" you say before walking off into the forest. Hunter wanted more than anything to go after you, but he refrained.

”Where is it?” Charles repeated, hoarser this time. He turned slightly and Erik winced, shifting his fingers and contorting the bullet to perfectly match Charles’ movements.
”Deep.” Erik whispered. Charles chose not to nod, saving Erik the trouble of moving it again. Instead, he brought a trembling hand to his forehead, tracing his fingertips over the hole in his flesh. He sucked in a shaky breath.
There was a bullet in Charles’ brain.
