Summary
Poseidon ground his teeth, frustration simmering beneath his skin. Zeus was on his side, though. Clodysseus was a gift from Zeus, after all. That meant Poseidon had the right to do whatever he wanted with it.
Or so he thought.
Because then Zeus said something that made Poseidon’s blood run cold.
“You'll have to deal with it. Do it yourself with your trident”
The same trident he hadn’t materialized since the Odysseus incident. The weight of those words pressed down on him. Poseidon should have expected this. Nothing Zeus did came without strings attached. Oh, Poseidon should have known better.
Because has Zeus ever done something nice for him that didn’t end in disaster?
