The Prince's familiar hated the Knight.
Though she may have been honor, duty, and soul-bound to serve the Prince, there were some things she was only comfortable with because she was far less comfortable with the alternative. There would be no courtesans hired to teach the Prince how to please his wife in order to assure a magical heir once the marriage had taken place, and if that meant she had to be used as a teaching tool, she accepted that. At least he's a fast learner.

Every morning for the last twenty-eight days, Hermione settled into her office and braced herself for the influx of letters that would no doubt threaten to flood the small space. On the first day, bright red envelopes spewed all manner of hateful words and threats, but as the days passed, and the community at large realized that their howlers were being immediately destroyed, their grievances manifested themselves instead onto unassuming parchment letters. Every day since the announcement, she combed through those letters, responded where she felt necessary, and passed along her deepest sympathies.

Hermione held out her hand as his eyes met hers. Then he did something Hermione would never forget.
Malfoy grabbed her hand and placed the vials in her palm.
Green sparks behind her eyes again, her magic sung for a solid ten seconds before he released her hand.
Malfoy was staring at her, in his eyes, the clearest she had ever seen them, was a sense of awe.
