For Thorin Oakenshield, walking in the midst of his treasure held more joy and more angst than he had known in a long time. His relationships were fading into the darkness of Erebor and his mind turned unto itself. Chancing upon a small alcove in the very corner of the expanse, he looked for the Arkenstone, though found something much more valuable. It would soon be that Time would bring him a confusion, a happiness, and a love such that he would never know again...or perhaps...
