The room is too bright.
It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.
It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

A little sadly he poked at his own meal, the weird-looking casserole type of thing that he knew from experience tasted like absolutely nothing. “That looks good,” he said, “I didn’t realize they had something else than …whatever this is.”
“Oh, they don’t,” Leon answered, grinning as he glanced up. “No offense to the great BSAA, but I don’t think anything they sell at the cafeteria here is as good as this.” He had leaned his cheek into his palm as he looked at Chris, gesturing vaguely towards his food. “Wanna taste?”

After surviving the massacre at Arklay Mountain, Chris escapes from hell only to run into its fucking twin when he finds out that the virus has already spread to Raccoon City. Hoping to find his sister, he goes back to the Raccoon Police City Department only for him to run into rookie cop, Leon S. Kennedy. With both dead set on finding Claire and getting the hell out of the city, the two immediately partner up and promise themselves to get through this.
