Summary
Kevin is lying on the bed, his upper body and head supported by pillows. He’s looking out of the window with a vacant sort of look on his face, and he doesn’t seem to register Jose entering the space before he drags the chair placed next to the bed a tad closer, sitting on it. Kevin turns to look at him, but seems to stop as his eyes land on Jose– his mouth falls slowly open, gaze wandering over his face in a daze.
It’s quiet between them, and Jose can’t help it– he lets out a small amused huff, quirking his eyebrow up with a smile on his lips. He’s about to ask Kevin if he’s feeling okay, but Kevin breaks the silence first.
“Damn, you’re… You’re pretty,” he breathes out, looking at Jose like he can’t quite believe his eyes. Jose lets out a proper laugh this time, and Kevin looks at him in wonder.

A direct sequel to Wishful Thinking (spoilers ahead for those who haven't read it)
Out of the corner of his eye, the warrior caught a flash of a blue cape and a pair of yellow eyes as a figure slid behind one of the surrounding pillars, swathed in the shadow.
He bit down a hiss. So he is going to eavesdrop. Tsk.
Not too long ago, maybe half an hour at most, Galacta Knight had been flying a certain pesky knight back to the castle after getting the promise of receiving a tour of the place. He’d be honest for once, he had been looking forward to it just a bit, but no sooner had he touched down, releasing his grip on the other, had the guard commander—Waddle Doo, had been his name—found them and passed on a message. The King of Dreamland wanted to see Galacta Knight.
Meta Knight even had the audacity to nod and then silently walk off in the other direction, pretending all the while that he wasn’t going to spy as the winged warrior was led away by Waddle Doo, and off to the throne room.

Or, Galacta Knight attempts to settle into life in Dreamland, and Meta Knight attempts to solidify a friendship.
It's all easier said than done.
