Summary
Kit has been running for his entire life. Cataclysmic mistakes, like the one he's just made, often seem to end with him running. But this time, when it matters most, he's not fast enough. He's not good enough. He's too late.
He is, however, just in time to see Jentry Chau take his place as the target of Mr. Cheng's fatal attack.
It all happens in slow motion. Which is still way too fast.
And if Kit still wants to be a person, he's going to have to recover from this wound alongside everyone else.

Summary
"Kit, I get it. Everyone's afraid of being vulnerable. But I don't want you to be scared. I trust you, okay?" Jentry reassures him.
The two are now inches away from each other, and Jentry is taking the opportunity to admire every single part of his face. She wants so badly to kiss him right now, but continues to wait for the right moment. She's basically been waiting all day for this opportunity, anyway. Maybe she should wait for Kit to initiate.
"Okay, but," Kit looks back at her. "Please just... don't be afraid. Or angry."
Afraid? Angry? What is he talking about? Could his secret be that bad? Jentry considers if maybe she's already missed her chance to make her move, but she shoves that thought down and nods slowly.
Kit reluctantly continues. "I'm not who you think I am. I-I'm not... I'm not a human."
"What?"
(The ending of episode 5 if Jentry didn't kiss Kit and allowed him to reveal the truth.)
