Summary
Faramir is a lone ranger, and his pursuit of a mysterious monster brings him face to face with a witcher. Initially Faramir follows him out of curiousity, but ends up unraveling years worth of built-up loneliness and realizing he's nowhere near as cold or detached from people as he thought. "I was wondering who it could be, shadowing me like that." The scarred witcher never glanced at his direction, yet there was no surprise in his voice, like he'd been expecting Faramir.
Like Faramir wasn't situated atop a cliffside a fair distance above the man, skulking about the bushes like a common cutthroat, bow in a steady grip and arrow at the ready. When he didn't answer, staying as still as he could, he faintly heard a huff of laughter from the witcher. Then the man casually leant to back on his spot, propping to rest his weight on his arms and head rolling back to face Faramir, those golden eyes piercing as they held the glow of the sunset. The witcher only smiled. "At least do me the courtesy of a decent conversation, would you? A bit rude not to after hounding my steps for two whole days."Bookmarked by Cardhwion
