If you had told Coby that a pirate was going to break into a marine ship to kidnap/save him, well. He wouldn't have called you insane, because his life was crazy enough for something like that to happen.

Summary
It’s been four years since Koby’s joined the Marines, and two years since one of the greatest power struggles in the world took place between pirates and the government. More importantly, two years since Straw-Hat Luffy became the Pirate King.
Personally, life’s been great for Koby ever since he joined. He’s climbed the ranks at record speed, ultimately obtaining the rank of a Rear-Admiral. His life-long dream of being Fleet Admiral is in sight, and it seems that everything is finally working out for him.
Until a certain pirate that Koby happens to have a major crush on comes flying into his window and asks to kidnap him. Trust a pirate to show up out of the blue and successfully ruin Koby’s life for the better. Again.In which Koby has to join the Straw-Hat pirates in order to bring down a child trafficking ring, all while being hopelessly in love with a pirate. The typical stuff, really.

This has been one of my favourite fics ever and the ending was so perfect for it and I loved how long it was and that the ending for a fic I’ve been reading every update for has been ended so wellLoved the meeting with the marines and koby especially fujitoras character
“That being said, I don’t want to see that you’ve been associated with Straw-Hat after this, Rear-Admiral.”
Koby blinked a few times before narrowing his eyes. Hesitating, he spoke. “…but sir, with all due respect…you’re blind. You can’t see—”
Fleet Admiral Fujitora shot him a sneaky smile.
“Oh. Oh.”Loved the parallels with the rest of the story in the ending

There’s a pause, then: “You’re cute when you’re all grumpy.”
Koby flushes darker and jabs a finger into the man’s chest. “ ‘M not cute! ‘Cute when yer grumpy’, listen t’ you!”
“You’re funny, too!” They add.
“Oh am I? You– you handsome, tan, chiseled fucker! Tryin’ t’ chat me up.” Koby has to pause a moment to collect himself. “Where were you when I was in my dress uniform, huh?! I looked good!”
Wherein Koby has a decidedly not good time at an officer's ball and decides to get drunk about it. Lucky for him, someone else at the bar is looking out for him.
