Waking up in a body that isn't your own is an understandably distressing experience. Claude knows he should be upset, or concerned, or worried. He can't seem to feel anything, though. Not even his heartbeat.
The first time Claude woke up as someone else, he dismissed it as a dream. The second time, he again dismissed it as a weird reoccurring dream. By the third time, there was no denying that he and Byleth were switching bodies at night. Right? Either that, or he had finally cracked.

"No." Claude's eyes simmered: something weary boiled alive at the bottom, the rising heat too slow to promote the panic, yet the will to live went unchecked. He looked like he had tried to check it. "Why?"
