Summary
During his fifth year, Harry Potter discovers he possesses an extraordinary and terrifying ability: his voice carries compulsive power. When he speaks with intent, people obey, completely, naturally, without awareness that they are being influenced. The compulsion is seamless, leaving targets with rationalized memories of having acted of their own free will.
The power has no known limits. Every test has confirmed the same conclusion: anyone will do anything he tells them to.
The story follows Harry as he grapples, with decreasing resistance, with what this power means, what it makes him, and how to use it both to satisfy increasingly complex personal desires and to end the war with Voldemort before more people he loves are killed.

The race is on to remove the Horcrux from Harry and defeat Voldemort. Because the one thing Harry’s not going to do is die.
