It didn't escape Riddles notice that the tea they had chosen was noted for its ability to aid one in sleeping. Glancing back, he took note of the dark circles faintly visible under the twos eyes, the exhausted slump of their posture, and the way that even as they continued to bicker there was no real bite to it.
Maybe it was just the result of one late night.
Or maybe, maybe they were just like Riddle. Maybe they also found their thoughts drifting back to that day in the garden and all the ways it could've ended so much worse.
Riddle had been struggling to sleep in the weeks following his overblot. Wandering the halls one night, he runs into Ace and Deuce who have the same problem.

He spends time with the first years, lecturing them in the ways of Heartslabyul, he exercises, he is even trying to loosen the rules a little bit, but it's really difficult when people are constantly gossiping about him in the corridors.
