Tommy liked to think that he was a good person. He fought in wars for independence for his country, he gave up his most prized possessions for said country, hell, he lost two of his lives for his country!
He wouldn’t hurt him, because Tommy was a good person. Despite how his blood burned in excitement at the thought of doing so to someone he thought he’d considered a friend, but knew that he really wasn’t. He stopped himself from doing so, partly because Tubbo was there, partly because he was still reeling over Wilbur’s revival, partly because he wanted to be a good person. Wanted to stay a good person.

The recent days had felt slow and far too quiet as everyone recuperated from the battles of the war with the Black Wizard. Lucy was one of the people who had taken a harder barrage of injuries than most. The feeling of fire in her veins had yet to leave her as she was finally able to leave the makeshift infirmary that was posted by the guild. It had been about five days since she collapsed after rewriting E.N.D. Wendy had told her if it wasn't for Gray using what was left of his magic to cool her down, she might have lost her arm entirely. She had yet to look at the scarring herself-- she had it wrapped constantly so that the burn cream could soothe what Wendy was unable to fix. Her apartment was a warm welcome after so long.

AveryTheMayo, or just Avery, traced the lines of the map with a trembling finger. Feeling an almost physical pull toward it. A magnetic tug that pressed against the inside of his chest. He imagined the floors, the corridors stretching into darkness. He couldn’t help but imagine the sterile fluorescent lights humming above.
“How am I going to do this…?” He said outloud.

The ritual didn’t fail. It just didn’t end.
D3rLrd3, or Derek survives, but not in any way that makes sense. Taken by the U.S Department of Metaphysical Sciences, he becomes something they cannot explain. Only contain.
Avery is the only one who notices, the evidence that Derek is still out there. Now he is on the run with someone who knows too much. Remembers things that haven’t happened yet, and isn’t entirely human anymore.
Retrieving him is the easy part.Understanding what came back isn’t. Derek knows how all of this ends.
