Summary
The sensation of magic crackled through Jayce’s body, at first a strange but almost pleasant warmth, then rapidly shifting into a sharp, painful tug. His senses warped, and before he could fully process it, he was ripped from the timeline, hurtling through a void and into the next. He tried to focus, trying to picture the moment Viktor needed him.
That was when he landed with a jarring thud, his disoriented mind struggling to adjust. His surroundings quickly came into focus—Viktor’s apartment. Jayce’s heart skipped a beat. Why am I here? He didn’t have time to question it further; his instincts kicked in, and he glanced around the corridor for any sign of Viktor.
He heard voices down the hallway—two voices, unmistakably his own and Viktor's. Jayce froze, frustration flooding him. Why is it always me? His problems, his mistakes, so often came from getting in his own way. He ducked behind the corner, straining to listen.
Or: Jayce uses the Arcane to travel to different universes/timelines to stop Viktor before it is too late... too bad Jayce can't seem to get the timing just right.

Summary
Viktor lowered the phone from his ear and slid it back into his pocket. His face was stone.
Jayce tried to keep himself still and hold back his questions as Viktor pulled his left knee up onto the couch and hugged it. He looked incredibly small.
When Viktor finally spoke, his words were flat. “My mother is dead.”

Viktor grew up in Zaun, speaking a different language as a kid. When he moves to Piltover, he brings his culture and language with him. Even though he sometimes feels out of place, Jayce actually finds his accent and the way he occasionally forgets words pretty charming.
