Summary
When an amnesiac Tarnished plops herself at Messmer’s front stoop, refusing to neither leave nor elaborate, he is forced to take her in; begrudgingly, in the same manner one might take pity upon a stray dog from the wilds. He only needs to give her a place to stay just until her memories come back to her, and then, she promises him she will be on her merry way.
Messmer, as jaded and out of touch as he is, has exactly zero intimations that the main thing he’s providing her with is protection from his Empyrean brother, who’s set her firmly in his sights.

Summary
