The rink being mostly empty was such a relief to him. When it was busy, he couldn't safely close his eyes and just breath in both music and the frosty breeze, feeling the smooth trails of ice shear beneath the blades of his skates.
And so, lost to his daydreams, he put his hands behind his back as he began his warm-ups, and let his mind wander aimlessly into fields full of dandelion puff ideas.
A dragon cursed to be a prince feels a lot more relatable, than the other way around. And who would want to kiss a prince to turn him back into a dragon? Hmm.
Scenes rambled through his mind, of faceless knights, and princesses falling short of their father’s promises. Would one even want to be saved? The decision…well, it would have to be based on those around him who cared about who he was…not just what he looked like.
Even in a royal family…I'm still a dragon…
In which Freminet and his siblings are figure skaters, and Illuga is the "new kid" in town for the local hobby hockey team. Unstoppable loneliness meets immovable friendliness in the messiest accidental thrupple this side of NYC.

Xingqiu.
Xingqiu's life took a bad turn when he was thrown out. His money and status gone, his vision shattered, now he must fend for himself. Chongyun and Gaming are desperate to help him but he does not make it easy for them to do so... or even want to.

Freminet has never had true friends before. Maybe mechanical ones, yes, but he has little to no experience with actual people. His siblings, Lyney and Lynette hatched a plan to link their oh-so-lonely little brother with an energetic, similarly aged boy they met during a performance. They give Freminet a mailing address with a grin.
“It’s not just a penpal, it’s being ‘penguin-pals.”
In other words, Freminet starts lettering with Gaming and is forced to face his fears of socialization.
