At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much he sugarcoats it or rephrases his intentions; he is unapologetically selfish when it comes to Norton.
He has tested Norton's patience, occupied his time, riled him up, and scolded him because he loved Norton—because he knew that no matter what he did, Norton always came back to him.
Mike's love was this prickly, obsessive, and heavy thing; he had driven people away because of it. But only Norton had the capacity to hold it.
Yet, despite it all… "Yes," is Mike's answer.

Mike is in love with his roommate Norton, who gets drunk. He also starts flirting with Mike. Matters escalate.

What was he thinking? he thought. That he would get his money's worth after buying the estate? Mike was right to follow in the staff's footsteps and leave the Golden Rose Theater for good.
Although—truthfully—Mike had no right to make fun of Ronald, for he was probably as unemployed as the man himself. He wasn't as lucky as Kroto, who was adored and recruited for her looks and charm. He couldn't get a single audition because he couldn't swallow his pride and admit that he wasn't experienced enough to claim a lead role. And even if slots were open for hiring, he refused to remain a stuntman all his life.
Hence, his return to the theater that simultaneously brought him his glory and his shame. Much like stomaching a dish that tasted bland because maybe after this bite, it will finally taste good, Mike had come back to the Golden Rose Theater, carrying a suitcase that stored his whole life, hoping for another chance.

Sparrow and (Vampire) Ronald share an apartment after the fall of the Golden Rose Theater.
