Summary
Gerard is an artist who hasn't found a full time job since graduating from art school four years ago. He's been picking up whatever paying art gigs he can get, which ends up being mostly pet portraits. That's how he meets Frank, a local musician and Staples associate who decides to commission Gerard after coming across his flyer for pet portrait commissions.
This fic is set in the year 2000 because... why not. So they're texting on flip phones.
