Summary
“I can’t date her,” Aurelio said, voice trembling despite himself. “I already have a boyfriend.”
Silence descended upon the table. What had he just gotten himself into?
Auristela looked baffled, though she attempted to mask it with a hand over her mouth. His dad looked pleased. His mother didn’t seem swayed in the slightest.
Lumbre’s eyes narrowed to slits. “A boyfriend,” she repeated. “And when did you plan to announce this courting to us? Do you dare lie to my face?”
---
Aurelio needs to bring someone home for Christmas so he can escape his mother's plans for a arranged marriage. Teo wants to win a bet. Niya and Auristela can set them up, but there's only so much they can do, the rest is up to them.
