In doing so, they uncover a dark plot that has far reaching consequences for all the people in the region, whether on the surface, or within the depths of their Underwater Vault they have affectionately nicknamed the City of Atlantis.

Summary
“What’s a good line to text a guy during a blackout?”
Robert responded automatically, giving some cheesy line from the top of his head about looting that even he could tell wasn’t great - though he blamed it on his having to focus on the huge shitstorm brewing across the city thanks to the blackout.
…He didn’t particularly think Golem’s suggestion of “Boo” was that good either, but Flambae obviously had his own ideas of what guys want to hear. Given how often he bragged in comms about getting with different guys, maybe Robert’s judgement was just off.

Summary
The air to Robert’s left grows warm, then hot—a concentrated sunlight that finally forces him to glance up.
Flambae’s hovering over the catwalk now, still nothing but a silhouette of fire. No trace of flesh. No trace of bones. Even his eyes are consumed by flames, leading Robert to wonder about the reliability of the man’s vision. He is a floating fiery ghoul, by all accounts.
One who may or may not be able to see.
Even so, the sight is formidable. He’d be impressed—seeing the effect up close like this is different than seeing it through the Mecha Man suit—but the image of the man slipping on a puddle and breaking his tooth on the bar makes it difficult to be anything but vaguely amused.
“If you’re gonna throw me off, could you at least do it in your other form?” Robert asks listlessly. “I’d like to die without third-degree burns, if at all possible.”

Summary
Growing up, Robert had conflicted feelings about meeting his soulmate, but after the death of his father, he did what he could to actively avoid an encounter with them. The man had many scars (both physical and mental) that showed he was not exactly an ideal partner or soulmate anyway.
Still, nothing could have prepared him for who he ended up getting.

But sometimes he has bad days and some comments get to him.
After maybe one to many degrading comments and waking up late, Robert stays home for the day.
Flamebae (and The Z Team) stress about the consequences of their actions for once.
