Summary
The Lawki 6 crew is on a science mission, 14 light years away, when they suddenly loose all contact with earth. They suspect that a solar storm might have damaged some satellites and limited earth's capabilities to communicate with their interstellar travelers. They soon discover, that this is a much bigger problem than anything they could've thought. When earth hasn't reestablished contact in well over a decade, they send one last message. Hoping, that they will get an answer. And as they go into torpor once more, they wonder. Will humanity choose earth or curiosity?
This fic will look at the events unfolding on earth and ask you the same question. What will you choose?

Okay so I saw a tumblr post a while ago, that was like "Hey, if Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds and Evan Buckley from 911 ever met they'd probably just throw random fun facts at each other."
This is this story. There is like 1% plot and then just infodumping.
Is this just a lazy attempt to infiltrate AO3 with fun science facts? Yes. 100%. Don't blame me.
