It's been over 3 years since Ian stood on the steps and broke up with Mickey, over 3 years since Mickey was sent to prison. A lot has changed since then, but one thing can always be relied on; Terry Milkovich sure knows how to bring them back together again. There are certain people you just keep coming back to.
This is my first fic in 3 years, and my first Shameless fic! As a side note, each chapter title (and the story title) is a song by Yellowcard; it helped me shape the fic and inspired me to write it in the beginning. Thanks heaps!!

With just Mickey's income alone sometimes things got tricky and he struggled constantly to give Yevgeny the things he knew he deserved. Some might call it fate, but Mickey would rather call it Yev's impeccable ability to hit attractive redheads with produce at the grocery store. Whatever it was, that day with not enough money in his pockets to feed his kid, Ian Gallagher blasted into his life. And he should've know everything would change.
It's a story of two people from similar backgrounds but different social statuses.Mickey must learn to love openly and freely and not see everything as a hand out, while Ian must learn to trust himself and his partner and how to give himself fully to someone.
