Summary
Dream gets sick the night before his 26th birthday, far from home and more than a little miserable.
George tries to make it a special day anyway.

Summary
Dream is a legendary sculptor, known throughout the land for his incredible skill with marble. His talent is unparalleled, his statues as beautiful as the gods themselves. His only downfall is the very passion that drives him — the moment one project is finished, he leaps to the next, forever chasing the challenge to do better.
Still, a tribute to Aphrodite is risky. And when he makes his offering — the most beautiful man he could possibly imagine, a potential equal to the goddess of beauty — Well, he had no idea just what he was getting himself into...

Summary
“Couldn’t we have paid Manager Ken to do this?” George grumbled next to him, barely an inch of skin visible.
“What?” Dream said. His voice left a soft puff of white in the air before them. “You don’t want to pick your own Christmas tree? It’s, like, like you don’t even have the Christmas spirit, George.”
George scrunched up his face like he was trying to scowl at Dream, but his eyes shined bright. “I’m too cold to have any type of spirit.”
Dream automatically slipped his arm around George’s shoulders. Just for a moment, while they were alone. And George leaned in, automatic too. They had had years at this point, and it still sort of shocked Dream every time at how well he fit in that space.

Summary
Dream looked at his birthdays the same way George would look at the stains on one of his well worn shirts—something to be dismissed or brushed aside like it didn’t hold any significance. It shouldn’t be surprising really, Dream rarely thinks of himself before he thinks of everyone else, pushing himself to the side like he’s something small and nothing more than a footnote.
It’s a fact that George has known and never really bothered to think about—it was simply as fundamental as the fact that Dream loves Minecraft. Until now, that is.
He thinks Dream of all people should feel special all the time, should feel like someone to be celebrated, and sure, maybe he’s overcompensating, perhaps he’s overcorrecting himself, but every time he remembers Dream telling him that it wasn’t a big deal—all soft edges and no sharp teeth—it becomes a bigger problem that weighs down on his chest.Something other than the guilt nags at his heart, and he wants to determine what exactly it is, because he has a gut feeling that it’s something so intrinsically tied to Dream and his stupid, gentle smile.
or: George forgets Dream’s birthday.

Summary
Dream was used to being special. One of a kind.
It started with his name, of course, something his mom always liked to go on about. A child born out of love and magic, her dream came true after so many seasons of wishing upon the quiet stars of the endless sky. He was used to a big world that didn’t quite know what to do with him, of a life of solitude and careful borders that were meant to keep him safe, but instead almost killed him with boredom.
She looked at Dream and only saw someone who was too small, too fragile for the harshness of a big world that wouldn’t hesitate to swallow him up. Dream fought and cried and bargained, only to be given a kiss and a farewell whenever it was time for her to go, but the little spark of determination inside him only burned brighter the more she tried to snuff it.
He would go out there. He just needed the right circumstances.
Or: Dream, a boy the size of a thumb, wishes to see the great big world outside the walls of his house. When it does finally happen, nothing is like he imagined, and the way back home is filled with people trying to keep him for themselves

Summary
“Gun to your head,” Will said.
“No—don’t—” she tried as she pushed away from him, turning to throw her hands up, she didn’t want to hear it, didn’t want to think this through because she knew where it would go. Where it always fucking went.
“Gun to your head,” he said again, firmer this time. “You have to choose three things to save. Just three.”
JJ’s mouth opened, but no words came.
“You’re saving our boys,” Will said, because that one was obvious, of course it was, “You’re saving your team. And you’re saving Spencer Reid.”
JJ blinked. “Will—”
“I know it. Hell, the world knows it, you and Spencer are the only two that don’t.”Or, After Will's passing, JJ has to come to terms with what her life will look like without him. If only the universe and a night of alcohol hadn't thrown a wrench in it.
