Dot không phải là dạng người thích dấu dấu giếm giếm chuyện tình cảm của mình (Mash thì lại càng không), nhưng nghĩ đến viễn cảnh anh trai của bồ mình vác cây đũa đến tận Easton để mà "nói chuyện xã giao" với mình, Dot đã rùng mình và tự nhủ với bản thân là cứ từ từ hồi hẳn tính đến chuyện báo cáo thông tin sau. Nhưng mà người tính thì không bằng trời tính, đời có mấy ai ngờ được, ấy không, thật ra thì Dot cũng đã lường trước được chuyện đó rồi.
Rằng cái người đầu tiên phát hiện ra chuyện hai đứa hẹn hò là Finn Ames.
Hay ba lần có người đến tìm Dot hỏi tội, một lần có người hỏi Mash lý do tại sao và một lần có người chấp nhận mối quan hệ của họ.
