Apollo freezes like a deer in headlights. For a long minute, he and Klavier just stare at each other. When Klavier takes another step forward, he jerks back to life, stammering, “I, uh, hi, weird to run into you here, bye!” before he tries to dart by Klavier in the direction of the elevator. Klavier barely manages to catch his arm.
“Where do you think you’re going, Herr Forehead?” Klavier says, as amused as he is confused. He usually has to put in more effort to cause the rosy flush spilling across Apollo’s cheeks. He glares down at Klavier’s fingers locked around his wrist. “Sebastian was just telling me you’d been looking for me.”
