    Tim hears a thump and a clatter in Document Storage within the first two weeks of working in the Archives. What he and the rest of the Archives team is left with is a comatose body double of their boss and 200 some tapes that have appeared out of nowhere. The safe course of action would be to burn the tapes and forget about the man in the hospital. But this is the Archival crew, and they are not ones for safety when there’s a mystery to be solved.

    A time travel fix it mixed with the age old trope of characters reacting to their own media. Add a dash of future Jon learning to live in a past where he’s not “useful” nor needed to stop the apocalypse, and you have the recipe for this fic!
